18 Named to USA Softball Participant of the 12 months Prime 50

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (January 25, 2023) – The Southeastern Convention leads all athletic conferences with 18 student-athletes named to the Prime 50 Watch Checklist for the 2023 USA Softball Collegiate Participant of the 12 months.

The USA Softball Collegiate Participant of the 12 months award, which is getting into its twenty first season, acknowledges excellent athletic achievement by Division I feminine collegiate softball gamers throughout the nation. Earlier recipients of the USA Softball Collegiate Participant of the 12 months award from SEC member establishments are Monica Abbott (Tennessee, 2007), Lauren Haeger (Florida, 2015) and Kelly Barnhill (Florida, 2017).

The Prime 25 Finalists for the 2023 USA Softball Collegiate Participant of the 12 months award can be introduced on Wednesday, April 19. Whereas an athlete doesn’t need to be on the “Watch Checklist” to be thought of for the Prime 25, the eventual USA Softball Collegiate Participant of the 12 months will come from the Prime 25 Finalists. The Prime 10 Finalists can be revealed on Wednesday, Might 3 and the Prime 3 on Wednesday, Might 17. The 2023 USA Softball Collegiate Participant of the 12 months can be introduced previous to the NCAA Ladies’s Faculty World Sequence.
